The Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department (UMCVFD) is set to host a festive celebration on Friday, the 4th of July, featuring fireworks, live entertainment, and a variety of food options in Poolesville.
The event will take place on privately owned land at the field located at the intersection of Hughes and Sugarland Roads in Poolesville, MD, with the viewing area guided by GPS coordinates set to 15598 Hughes Rd, Poolesville, MD 20837.
Parking gates open at 5:00 p.m., and attendees are required to pay a $10 fee per car in cash upon entry. The revenue collected from parking will be allocated directly to the 4th of July Fireworks expense fund. Organizers have advised that parking along Hughes Road is not permitted and attendees should follow the directions of police and parking attendants.
Live entertainment will be provided by the Brickyard Road Band, and a selection of food trucks will be available on site. For safety and to ensure everyone’s enjoyment, strict guidelines are in place: alcoholic beverages, pets, and open flames such as BBQ grills or candles are not allowed on the grounds. Additionally, any coolers brought to the event may be inspected by the Montgomery County Police Department.
This event is supported by the Town of Poolesville, the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department, with volunteer Firefighter/EMTs contributing their time to maintain a safe environment.
