The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has released additional information regarding a fatal single-vehicle collision on Connecticut Avenue this morning.
According to MCPD, “At approximately 4 a.m., Montgomery County 2nd District officers and Fire Rescue were dispatched to the area of Connecticut Avenue and Adams Drive for a single vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, they located a single occupant, adult male, inside of a yellow 2018 Honda Fit. The preliminary information is that the driver crossed the median into southbound Connecticut Ave and struck a utility box and pole. The driver was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision. A news release will be distributed once more information becomes available, including the name of the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.”
