The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fatal pedestrian collision on Monday afternoon in Redland.
MCPD issued the following at 12:29pm: “MCPD is on scene of a fatal pedestrian collision involving an adult female in the area of Applewood Ln. and Muncaster Mill Rd. that occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. Driver remained on scene.”
Muncaster Mill Road is closed at Muncaster Road, Heatherford Court, and Stacey Court.
Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect delays.
There was a separate fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on Sunday, July 6, 2025, near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Galt Avenue in Wheaton that is currently being investigated.
