Early Morning Collision on I-270 Leaves Two Trapped and Injured

In the early hours of Thursday morning, a serious collision occurred on northbound I-270 between exits 10 and 11, just before Route 124. The incident involved two vehicles and resulted in the entrapment of two individuals, according to Pete Piringer, Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS).

According to Piringer, both of the adults involved in the collision were classified as Priority 2 trauma patients, indicating serious but not immediately life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a local hospital by the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services Emergency Medical and Integrated Healthcare Services (MCFRS EMIHS) for further medical treatment.

The collision has led to the temporary blockage of some lanes on I-270, contributing to traffic delays in the area.  The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
