The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a July 1 armed robbery at the Montgomery County liquor store at 300 North Washington Street in Rockville and has released surveillance photos of the suspect.
According to MCPD, “The investigation has revealed that the suspect entered the store and confronted a cashier. The suspect walked up to the register and demanded money from the register. The suspect then stated he was armed with a handgun and lifted his sweatshirt. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, left out the front door, ran to the rear of the business and jumped a fence.
Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of the store and obtained a description of the suspect. The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 16 to 19-years-old, with reddish hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a tan floppy style hat, reflective sunglasses, yellow rubber gloves, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes.
