In our last update on the White’s Ferry saga between Maryland and Virginia, we reported that White’s Ferry owners Chuck and Stacy Kuhn have offered to donate the ferry business and assets, valued at $4.5 million, to Loudoun County, VA after Montgomery County recently declined a similar offer, as part of their ongoing effort to reopen the historic Potomac River crossing. Since then, the Kuhns formally presented the offer to Loudoun County, which has indicated a willingness to consider it. The proposal is aimed at addressing zoning challenges and reopening the ferry, which has remained closed since 2020 amid a dispute over landing rights on the Virginia side.
