The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) is seeking public assistance in identifying an individual and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Howard County.
On June 20, an on-duty NRP patrol vehicle was rear-ended by a gold Acura sedan near Main Street in Ellicott City. The driver of the sedan initially stopped to assess the damage but returned to the vehicle and left the scene before the officer could gather any identifying information.
Based on the photos shared, the vehicle did not appear to have front plates. It is unknown whether there were plates on the back. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Department of Natural Resources Communications Center at 410-260-8888. Callers are asked to reference case number NRP-25-00565.
