We are excited to announce that Taste MoCo will be spearheading the 2025 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair’s MD Foodie Awards. The awards ceremony is set to launch on the first day of the fair, Friday, August 8th, providing attendees with a full week to savor and explore the diverse culinary offerings.
Taste MoCo’s leadership in this event promises to bring a vibrant and inclusive spotlight to the county’s rich gastronomic landscape. In previous years, our very own Mr. MoCo has had the privilege of judging and hosting the event. This year, Taste MoCo is elevating its involvement by capturing engaging videos and photos to help attendees select their favorites. The team is committed to introducing fair-goers to the culinary talents behind the delicious creations, and will also spotlight options accommodating various dietary restrictions.
Initiated during the pandemic, Taste MoCo was designed to support local restaurants by showcasing their offerings and providing much-needed exposure during challenging times. The platform highlights food and drink from establishments within Montgomery County, featuring authentic photos and videos of dishes as they appear before being enjoyed. Notably, every dish featured has been purchased by a member of the Taste MoCo team, unless otherwise noted.
Taste MoCo operates with a unique philosophy: “We show you the dish…and the rest is up to you.” By refraining from sharing personal opinions on the dishes, they allow each viewer to form their own judgments, acknowledging that tastes vary widely.
