Join the City of Gaithersburg and the Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Department as they present the 87th Annual Labor Day Parade, a cherished tradition marking the unofficial end of summer. Set along East Diamond and Russell Avenues, the parade will take place on Monday, September 1st at 10am.
Spectators can look forward to an exciting lineup, featuring high school marching bands, dance groups, costumed characters, antique cars, fire engines, equestrian units, clowns, and much more. For those planning to attend, detailed parking information will be shared closer to the event date.
Food vendors will be stationed at Olde Towne Plaza and in the parking lot adjacent to the Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Station. Attendees seeking a shaded spot can enjoy a comfortable viewing experience along Russell Avenue, accessible via a short walk from the transit station on Odendhal Avenue.
The City of Gaithersburg warmly invites community groups and organizations to participate in the parade. Marching in this annual event offers a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community, showcase your group, and potentially win a special award. Interested groups can register on the City of Gaithersburg’s official website.
Please note that the participation of groups or organizations, other than City officials, departments, or committees, does not imply endorsement by the City of Gaithersburg.
