Hot Topic will permanently close its location at Westfield Wheaton Mall ( 11160 Veirs Mill Rd). According to a representative, the store is expected to close by the end of August.
The “counterculture” chain is known for selling band t-shirts, licensed apparel, jewelry/accessories, and collectibles featuring franchises like Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, and more, often with a focus on edgy or subcultural styles.
A store closing sale is currently underway. Hot Topic previously had Montgomery County locations in Lakeforest Mall and Montgomery Mall.
