Whip Clean has officially broken ground on its new, state-of-the-art car wash facility at the Festival at Muddy Branch Shopping Center in Gaithersburg. The upcoming 11,378 square foot car wash is set to open in Spring 2026, promising a premium experience for local motorists.
The City of Gaithersburg Planning Commission had approved the Final Site Plan application for the project on November 20, 2024. The new Whip Clean will be constructed on a vacant lot on Muddy Branch Road, situated across from the existing Lotte Market and next to the Best Friends Pet Resort, within a shopping center that also houses Planet Fitness and Family Dollar.
Whip Clean emphasizes a commitment to “exceptional customer service, a superior wash every time, and getting you back on the road quickly and efficiently.” The new facility will offer both full-service interior and exterior washes, as well as express exterior options with complimentary vacuums. Customers can expect friendly staff, top-tier quality utilizing state-of-the-art equipment for a streak-free shine, and speedy service.
This Gaithersburg location marks a significant expansion for Whip Clean, which originally opened its first car wash in Bowie, MD, in May 2017 (that location was sold to Flagship Carwash in 2023). An additional Whip Clean location is also planned for Severn, MD.
