Motorists Can Expect Overnight Single-Lane Closures; Drivers Urged to Plan Extra Drive Time During Work Hours
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration began resurfacing MD 191 (Bradley Boulevard) in both directions between 6421 Bradley Boulevard and Bradmoor Drive in Bethesda on July 24. The work is expected to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting.
According to MDOT, motorists can expect single and double-lane closures weekdays from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. As part of the project, crews will patch, mill, pave and restripe the travel lanes. Additional lane closures and extended work hours may be required to ensure all project phases stay on schedule.
Access to driveways within the construction zone will be temporarily restricted. Equipment used for construction may be disruptive. For your safety, pedestrians and motorists are urged to remain alert and avoid distractions when traveling through the work zone. Motorists should follow all posted speed limits.
