Two-Vehicle Collision Leaves One Injured and Bystander Transported to Hospital

A two-vehicle collision occurred today at the intersection of Muddy Branch Road and Conservation Lane in Gaithersburg, prompting a response from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS). The incident was reported at 12:37 p.m., according to Assistant Chief David Pazos.

Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered one of the vehicles had overturned. The driver of the overturned car sustained injuries and was promptly attended to by the rescue team. Fortunately, the injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and the individual received necessary medical attention on-site.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision declined medical transport, indicating they were not in need of immediate medical care. Additionally, an adult bystander, who was caught in the debris resulting from the accident, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The bystander’s injuries were also reported as non-life-threatening.

The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation as authorities work to determine the factors contributing to the accident. Meanwhile, traffic in the area experienced temporary disruptions as emergency personnel managed the scene.
