Ledo Pizza, one of the pioneers of “Maryland Style Pizza”, is currently testing delivery services at select locations across Washington, DC, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.
When a user on X (formerly Twitter) asked, “Can y’all add more MD locations 🙂,” Ledo replied, “We’ll see how these locations do,” suggesting broader rollout may depend on current trial performance.
Historically, Ledo has not offered delivery, citing quality concerns. According to the FAQ section on ledos.com:
“LEDO does not do home delivery. Quality pizza requires time, attention and focus. Unlike delivery pizza, LEDO Pizza’s large portions and quality ingredients need unique focus. LEDO DOES DO carry-out where patrons can personally care for their pizza in its ride to their home.”
Ledo Pizza, originally known as Ledo Restaurant, opened its first location in Adelphi, Maryland (Prince George’s County). At the time, circular pizza pans were still relatively new, so they opted for rectangular pans instead—and they decided to stick with what was working.
