Simona Café is opening at 4520 East-West Highway in Bethesda, taking over the former Starbucks location at the Bethesda Office Center.
According to Bethesda Magazine, Simona hopes to open later this month. The restaurant has an alcohol license hearing scheduled with Montgomery County ABS on Thursday, August 7.
The café currently operates locations in Arlington, VA and NoMa, DC. Its menu features a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, including drip coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, and seasonal specials, as well as non-coffee options like matcha, chai, and hot chocolate. Breakfast includes focaccia sandwiches with eggs, cheese, avocado, and guanciale, while lunch offerings include grilled cheese, avocado toast, smoked salmon with ricotta, and prosciutto baguette sandwiches. Add-ons such as chorizo, brie, and caramelized onions are available, along with milk alternatives and housemade syrups.
