Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) recently hosted its Superintendent’s A&S (Administrative & Supervisory) Meeting, featuring two prominent speakers: former NFL quarterback and activist Colin Kaepernick and Anurupa Ganguly, founder of Prisms of Reality.
The event, which MCPS described as “on fire,” was designed to inspire and challenge school leaders.
Kaepernick, a well-known voice for social justice, addressed the leaders with a message of “challenging systems and championing justice.”
Alongside Kaepernick, Anurupa Ganguly shared her vision for the future of education. As the founder of Prisms of Reality, she is at the forefront of a movement to revolutionize K-16 STEM learning by making it more “equitable and immersive” for all students. Her company utilizes virtual reality to help students grasp complex math and science concepts through embodied, real-world experiences. Ganguly, an MIT-trained engineer turned educator, is a strong advocate for a new learning paradigm that leverages technology to create a more engaging and effective classroom experience.
