Two Maryland Restaurants Make Yelp’s “Top 100 Sandwich Shops” List

Two Maryland eateries have been recognized on Yelp’s list of the “Top 100 Sandwich Shops” in the US. The list, released in honor of National Sandwich Month, highlights some of the best handhelds in America, from classic subs to unique creations.

Full On Craft Eats & Drinks, with locations right here in Rockville and Annapolis, was ranked #44 on the national list. The restaurant is known for its high-end sandwiches featuring in-house roasted meats and homemade sauces. The establishment’s co-owner and chef, Michelle Houser Harris, was also a contestant on a season of the reality show Hell’s Kitchen. Full on was also previously named the best sandwich shop in Maryland by Business Insider.

Baltimore’s Ekiben secured a higher spot on the list, coming in at #35. The Asian fusion spot has garnered national acclaim for its unique takes on dishes. Steven Chu, one of the restaurant’s founders, is an alumnus of Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg. Ekiben has been recognized on previous Yelp “Top 100” lists for various categories, and the restaurant is set to open its first location outside of Baltimore in nearby Frederick.

Yelp compiled the list by identifying businesses in its “sandwiches” category and ranking them based on a number of factors, including the volume and ratings of reviews. The full list can be seen here.
