On Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:25pm, the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department responded to a technical rescue situation on the 13700 block of Central Avenue, Largo, at Six Flags America. Park staff worked alongside Technical Rescue units to safely evacuate about 32 riders who were stuck on a ride.
The department initially reported that all patients would be evaluated by EMS teams. One individual was transported due to a medical call unrelated to the rescue and was reported to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
By 4:54pm, an update from the department confirmed that all riders had been safely removed from the ride. The technical rescue units began returning to service shortly afterward.
