On Thursday night, a fire erupted in a single-family home on Dellabrooke Farm Lane, off Goldmine Road, in Brookeville. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded with approximately 65 firefighters and multiple units.
The initial report by MCFRS Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer at 10:41 PM indicated heavy smoke emanating from the garage, prompting a comprehensive response from units PE704, PE740, PE725, HCE52, E717, AT704, AT724, RS717, A740, BC704, BC701, RS715, AT718, M725, and EMS703. All occupants and pets had safely exited the house by the time responders arrived.
By 10:47 PM, the situation intensified with smoke visible from both the garage and the front door, and an active fire was confirmed in the basement. Additional fire suppression teams were staged strategically to manage the blaze efficiently.
At 11:12 PM, updates revealed that task forces PE718, HCE52, T725, A725B, CT740, and MAU733 were strategically positioned near Goldmine Road and Pyrite Lane. The fire, which had originated in the basement of the large two-story house, was significantly contained and extinguished, with crews checking for any potential extensions into other parts of the house.
