Maryland Magicians Gather For Series of Shows

Sunday night was filled with laughter, gasps, and outright amazement as Maximum Magic Shop (currently located in Potomac) put on an unforgettable show at Give a Hoot Comedy Club in Gaithersburg. The event featured a lineup of local magicians from across the DMV area, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained and, for a couple attendees, literally hypnotized (video below).

The show was the brainchild of Max Erdrich, owner of Maximum Magic Shop. Erdrich, a local legend himself, got his start performing magic at the Ledo Pizza on Darnestown Road while he was a student at Quince Orchard High School. Last year he opened Maximum Magic Shop in Potomac, the DMV’s only active magic shop, and is currently preparing to move the shop to a new location in Rockville (announcement coming soon).

Erdrich brought together a talented roster of magicians who delivered a night of mind-bending illusions and jaw-dropping tricks. The atmosphere was electric, with performers captivating the crowd with a mix of comedy, skillful sleight-of-hand, and mentalism. The show proved to be a fantastic showcase for the incredible magic talent right here in our community.

The good news for anyone who missed out is that they’ll be back! Maximum Magic Shop and the local magicians will return to Give a Hoot Comedy Club at La Mex on Shady Grove Road for another show on Sunday, September 28th with a total of three additional shows by year’s end. Additional information available on the Give A Hoot Comedy Club website.
