Montgomery County Police Department’s 3rd District officers are on the scene of an assault, preliminarily reported as a stabbing, at the intersection of Fenton Street and Ellsworth Drive in Silver Spring on Thursday afternoon.
One suspect is in custody and the scene has been secured. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported for medical treatment. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
4:32PM Update from MCPD 3rd District Commander Jason Cokinos: “Suspect in this case has been arrested. This was not a random incident and involved a dispute between the involved people. Cameras in the area provided valuable evidence and a clear view of what took place.”
