Silver Spring families are invited to join the Kennedy Cluster schools for a fun-filled Block Party (Fiesta del Barrio) on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at John F. Kennedy High School, located at 1901 Randolph Road, Silver Spring, MD 20902.
This free community event will feature food trucks, games, line dancing, face painting, and giveaways. Attendees can also explore a resource table fair, where local organizations and community partners will share helpful information and services for families.
Organized by the Kennedy Cluster schools, which include John F. Kennedy High School, Odessa Shannon MS, Argyle MS, Bel Pre ES, Strathmore ES, Glenallan ES, Kemp Mill ES, Arcola ES and Georgian Forest ES, the block party is designed to celebrate community and bring together students, families, and staff for a morning of connection and fun.
The event is supported by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Community Schools and the School Based Health and Wellness Centers, which will also have a presence at the resource fair. Whether you’re a Kennedy Cluster family or a Silver Spring neighbor, this is a great opportunity to meet others in the community, enjoy entertainment, and learn about local resources.
