The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) and Gaithersburg Police Department responded to a non-contact shooting early Wednesday in Gaithersburg.
MCPD issued the following incident alert at 3:40am: “Gaithersburg City and 6D officers were dispatched at 3:05 a.m. to the 800 block of Quince Orchard Blvd. for a reported non-contact shooting. This investigation will be handled by Gaithersburg City Police.”
Gaithersburg Police issued the following update Wednesday morning: “Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department – Investigative Section are investigating a non-contact shooting that occurred in the 800 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard.
On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at approximately 3:05 a.m., officers responded to the area following a report of gunshots heard. Upon arrival, officers conducted a search and recovered evidence confirming that a shooting had taken place. No injuries have been reported at this time. This remains an open and active investigation.
