The annual Takoma Park Folk Festival will bring a full day of music, art, and community spirit to the area on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 10:30am until 6pm. The popular festival, held at Takoma Park Middle School (7611 Piney Branch Road, Takoma Park, MD 20912) will feature performances by local and regional musicians, artisan vendors, family-friendly activities, and food from a variety of local vendors.
The event is expected to draw large crowds, and the Takoma Park Police Department has shared important traffic and parking advisories:

Roads will remain open but there will be limited access to Takoma Park Middle School.

Motorists are urged to drive slowly and with caution due to heavy pedestrian traffic on Piney Branch Road.

No parking will be allowed from Piney Branch to Grant to Holly Avenue.

Parking will be limited to residential side streets.

Reserved spaces will be set aside for handicapped parking, vendors, festival staff, musicians, and artists.
