Shilla Bakery has closed its Rockville store at 2098 Veirs Mill Rd in the Twinbrook Center, according to multiple confirmations from customers.
The location, once a popular destination for Korean baked goods and desserts, is no longer listed on the Shilla Bakery website, and its phone line has been disconnected. A representative from Shilla’s Vienna, VA location also confirmed the closure.
Despite the Rockville shutdown, Shilla Bakery continues to operate in the region. The chain still has a Maryland location in Ellicott City as well as several Northern Virginia locations, including Vienna, Centreville, and Annandale.
The Rockville store had been a staple for residents seeking freshly baked breads, cakes, and Korean pastries, adding to the area’s diverse food scene. Its closure marks the end of one of the more recognizable Korean bakeries in Montgomery County after nearly twenty years of service.
