Bakehouse, which opened in Downtown Frederick at 69 S. Market St. back in March 2021, has announced that it will moving to a new home at 155 West Patrick St. in Downtown Frederick in 2026. Until then, business will continue as usual in its current location. The announcement from Bakehouse can be seen below:
“We have a big announcement about the future of Bakehouse. We will have a new home in downtown Frederick in 2026! We’ve wanted to grow for a very long time. But as a small business we didn’t want to take on too much too soon or sacrifice any quality. So we made the difficult decision to wait. Now here we are, almost five years later with our own building we’ll be completely renovating into the bakery of our dreams.
This marks a big step in our growth because this new property will give us double the square footage. We’ll be using the extra space to double the size of our kitchen and add some exciting new elements to our business. Below are some of the new things you can expect from Bakehouse!
• More availability – We’ll be open 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.
• More menu variety – We’ll be expanding our menu to include additional pastries and breakfast items. And we’ll be adding a rotating seasonal menu of lunch options.
• More drink options – Cappacinos, lattes & a rotation of seasonal house made beverages.
• Events – We’ll have a private event space to host & cater special occasions.
• More seating – Outside we’ll have patio and garden seating available on Carroll Creek. Inside we’ll have two floors of cozy seating for groups of all sizes.
• Retail – A retail section of curated Bakehouse home & pantry items.The building is located at 155 West Patrick Street and has been vacant for several years. We have a lot of work ahead of us so it’s still too early for an exact timeline. For now, business as usual but rest assured we will be sharing updates as we make progress.
