Berries & Bowls, the popular superfood café known for its açai bowls, smoothies, and juices, is set to open a new location in College Park. The shop will be located at 4350 Knox Road, on the ground floor of the Union on Knox apartment building. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
The expansion brings another health-focused dining option to the heart of College Park, just steps from the University of Maryland campus. Owner Brian Levine said the city’s mix of students and residents makes it an ideal choice for the brand’s next move. “College Park, Maryland, is a strong location for an açai bowl shop due to its large, health-conscious student population from the University of Maryland, favorable demographics, and high demand for convenient and healthy food options,” Levine said.
Berries & Bowls already has a strong presence in Montgomery County. The company opened its first shop in the Kentlands neighborhood of Gaithersburg in September 2019, quickly earning a following for its colorful, nutrient-packed offerings. A second location followed in Bethesda Row, which opened in August 2021.
The new College Park shop marks the brand’s third location and its first in Prince George’s County. With its proximity to UMD and the surrounding community, the store is expected to become a go-to spot for quick, healthy meals and snacks once it opens.
