Familiar Face Becomes New Owner at The Limerick Pub

The Limerick Pub, a longtime staple of Wheaton’s dining and nightlife scene, has officially announced a change in ownership. The pub shared a couple weeks back that Luis Reyes, a familiar face to many regulars, is now the new owner along with his wife Maria, his brother Mauricio, and his sister Marina.

Reyes has been a dedicated member of The Limerick Pub team since it first opened its doors, making him a well-known figure to guests who have enjoyed the pub’s food, drinks, and live entertainment over the years. The announcement was met with excitement, with the pub encouraging the community to join in congratulating Luis and his family as they step into this new chapter.

Located in the heart of Wheaton at 11301 Elkin Street, The Limerick Pub first opened in 2011 and quickly became known for its warm atmosphere, traditional Irish fare, and strong support of live music and community events. Over the past decade, it has served as both a neighborhood gathering place and a venue for local and touring musicians, comedians, and performers.

The transition to family ownership by Reyes and his relatives signals a continuation of the pub’s community-focused identity. For longtime patrons, the change is not so much a shift in direction as it is a celebration of someone who has been an integral part of the pub’s day-to-day life from the very beginning.
