Three New Dunkin’ Locations Planned for Montgomery County

Montgomery County residents will soon have three more spots to grab their morning coffee and donuts. As we’ve previously reported, Dunkin’ is planning new locations in Derwood, along Norbeck Road in Rockville, and as part of the upcoming Rockshire Village redevelopment across from Wootton High School.

In Derwood, construction is underway at 17700 Muncaster Road, where is converting a former child-care facility into a 2,500-square-foot restaurant. Plans include a drive-thru, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, and a new left-turn lane to improve traffic safety. While the project has faced some delays due to permitting and roadway concerns, progress is being made and work continues on the site.

On Norbeck Road in Rockville, Dunkin’ will take over the space at 4011 Norbeck Road, previously home to Sassy Cleaners. The dry-cleaning business recently closed after more than three decades, and Dunkin’ is preparing to move in. Specific details about the size of the store, potential drive-thru service, and the opening timeline have not yet been announced.

A third location is planned for the redevelopment of the Rockshire Village Shopping Center at 2401 Wootton Parkway, directly across from Wootton High School. The site, which has been vacant for years, is being transformed by developer EYA into a mixed-use neighborhood with 60 new residential units, a neighborhood park, and more than 5,000 square feet of retail space. Dunkin’ is confirmed as one of the retail tenants. Demolition of the old shopping center has begun, with overall completion of the redevelopment expected in 2027.
