A 60-year-old Rockville woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on September 12, 2025, in Easton, MD after police received multiple alerts about her vehicle swerving on Ocean Gateway and being linked to a hit-and-run near Route 404.
According to the Easton Police Department, “On September 12, 2025 at approximately 4:22 pm, Officers with the Easton Police Department received a Be On the Look Out (BOLO) regarding a grey Honda Civic traveling on eastbound Ocean Gateway in the area of Dover Road, swerving and crossing the lane markers. Officers were in the area of the Days Inn for an unrelated matter and positioned themselves to attempt to observe the Honda Civic. Officers observed the Civic traveling on eastbound Ocean Gateway in the area of the Maryland State Police- Easton Barracks.
Officers were then advised of a separate BOLO from MSP- Centreville Barracks in reference to the same vehicle, which was identified as a suspect vehicle involved in a Hit and Run collision near Route 404. Officers conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified to be Ms. Melissa L. Rizkallah (60) of Rockville, MD. Through investigation, Rizkallah was placed under arrest and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, and related offenses.”
