The Taste of Rio returns to Rio Lakefront in Gaithersburg for its third year on Sunday, September 28, from 2pm-6pm, bringing an afternoon of signature bites, craft cocktails, and live music along the boardwalk.
Organizers bill it as a lakeside “Sample, Sip & Savor” experience, with this year’s lineup featuring restaurants such as Charley Prime Foods, Guapo’s, Nando’s Peri-Peri, California Pizza Kitchen, True Food Kitchen, Silver Diner, BurgerFi, Auntie Anne’s/Cinnabon, Miss Toya’s Southern Kitchen, Han Spot, Fantasticks, Yard House, and more to be added. Live music is set to include a performance by local band Priceless Advice, with roaming buskers around the lake.
General admission and VIP tickets are on sale now. A Visit Montgomery preview notes that VIP packages include early entry and MoCo Eats lounge access along with extras like a limited-edition insulated tumbler and tasting tickets. Taste of Rio takes place at Rio Lakefront, 9841 Washingtonian Blvd. Past editions have quickly grown into a popular early-fall outing, and the venue’s calendar and social posts are actively encouraging advance ticket purchases to skip lines on the day of the event.
