Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Involving Silver Audi

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Tuesday, September 23, in Wheaton. A 52-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Veirs Mill Road at Ennalls Avenue around 7:27 p.m. and later died from her injuries.

According to MCPD, officers and Fire Rescue personnel responded to the scene and found the woman in the roadway with critical injuries. She was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The vehicle involved fled before officers arrived.

Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit have identified the suspect vehicle as a silver 2009–2012 Audi A4 or S4. The car is believed to have windshield damage, a missing passenger-side fog light assembly, and possible damage to the left front headlight.

The victim’s name will be released once family has been notified. The investigation remains ongoing.
