The Backyard BOB, a mobile brick oven bistro based in Boyds, has officially closed its food truck operations. The concept began as a dream of owner Bob McMahon, who wanted to create a small pizza-focused catering business for neighborhood and private events. Over time, the idea grew into a full-service mobile kitchen specializing in wood-fired pizzas, paninis, subs, and salads.
The business operated out of a concession kitchen at the Woodcliffe Park Pool and Clubhouse, with cooking done in a fully customized trailer featuring a nine-square-foot brick oven.
Now, the custom-built trailer is up for sale at auction. The setup is being marketed as a ready-to-use operation for anyone looking to launch or expand a food business.
