The Kentlands Bar Crawl is back for its second outing of 2025, bringing drinks, neighbors, and community spirit together in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood.
The fall edition will take place on Saturday, October 4, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with proceeds benefiting Comfort Cases, a local nonprofit that supports children entering foster care.
This long-running community tradition, which began more than 20 years ago, drew over 100 participants earlier this spring and raised more than $1,100 for The Rainbow Place Shelter. Since 2023, the event has taken on a charitable mission thanks to organizer Kristin Johnston, who joined original founders Sue Kravitz and Debbie Freedman in helping lead the bar crawl. Johnston noted that the event has raised more than $3,500 in the last three years for local organizations.
Participants in the October crawl will make their way through a lineup of Kentlands favorites:
- 5 p.m. – Grilled Oyster Co.
- 6 p.m. – Coal Fire
- 7 p.m. – Bonefish Grill
- 8 p.m. – Quincy’s
- 9 p.m. – Grape Escape
With friends, food, drinks, and a cause to rally behind, the Kentlands Bar Crawl continues to be more than just a night out, it’s a way for the community to come together, celebrate, and give back.
