Rockville Senior Dog Rescue Goes Full Swiftie

Miri’s Haven Senior Dog Rescue in Rockville (204 Lawrence Dr.) has officially gone full Swiftie… and it’s all for a good cause.

In honor of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album “Life of a Showgirl,” dropping October 3rd, the rescue is launching a whimsical 12-day countdown that pairs adoptable dogs with each of Taylor’s iconic eras. Every day, a new pup will embody the spirit of an album — from the glitter and sass of 1989 to the dreamy folk-poetry of Folklore.

The debut spotlight? Lacey, a soft-eyed sweetheart who perfectly channels the cozy cardigan vibe of Folklore. Described by the rescue as “the forest strolling, soft-spoken daydream kind of pup,” Lacey is bonded with her buddy Ashton and is hoping this campaign helps her find a forever home.

But the project is about more than matching pups with playlists. Miri’s Haven has set an ambitious fundraising goal: $12,000 by October 3rd. Every dollar raised will go toward medical care for critically ill and abused senior dogs. The rescue is encouraging fans to:

  • Donate $12 in honor of Taylor’s 12 albums
  • Share daily posts featuring each “Swift era pup”
  • Help match these dogs with loving homes

Daily updates will continue until October 3rd, when the grand finale coincides with Taylor’s album release.
