The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating 18-year-old Joshua Carter and 25-year-old Justin Michael Greene Collins of Silver Spring, who are wanted in connection with the September 21 homicide of Akwalabeng Fontava and the kidnapping of two victims.
A third suspect, 37-year-old Sheldon Milan Boykins of Hyattsville, is already in custody, while warrants have been issued charging Carter and Collins with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
According to MCPD, “Fontava was shot and killed inside an apartment in the 5900 block of Montrose Road in North Bethesda. Following the shooting, a man and a woman were kidnapped and forced into a car. The male victim was later released in Burtonsville. Detectives located the vehicle at Westfield Montgomery mall, where Boykins was found with the female victim.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Carter and Collins as the two remaining suspects. Warrants were obtained charging both men with first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of armed robbery.
