Shortly before 2pm on Saturday, firefighters from Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services (MCFRS) were dispatched to the 6000 block of Landon Lane in Bethesda for the report of a house fire.
According to MCFRS Assistant Chief David Pazos, the call came in at 1:49pm for a report of fire to the rear of a single-family home. When crews arrived minutes later, they found a fence line behind the home on fire, but fortunately there was no extension to the structure itself.
Pazos reported that the bulk of the fire had already been extinguished by residents before firefighters arrived. Crews ensured that all remaining hot spots were out and confirmed there were no injuries or displacements.
