A two-vehicle collision has shut down southbound Frederick Rd. (355) between South Westland Drive and Shady Grove Road on Saturday morning, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). This incident occurred near the border of Gaithersburg and Rockville.
The incident was reported by police at 10:36am, and officers advised drivers to seek alternate routes while emergency crews responded to the scene. Two adults were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police have temporarily closed the southbound lanes of Frederick Rd. to clear the vehicles involved.
MCPD on X at 10:36am: “TRAFFIC ADVISORY: A 2 vehicle collision has SB Frederick [Road] shut down between S. Westland & Shady Grove. Two adults transported with non-life-threatening injuries. Drivers are asked to seek an alternate route.”
