ChaHalo, a modern bubble tea and milk tea brand known for blending traditional Chinese tea culture with contemporary flavors, has signed a lease for its first Maryland location at Research Row in Rockville. The shop will occupy 1,830 square feet at 1403A1 Research Boulevard.
The lease was brokered by Renaud Consulting, with Bibi Boehm representing the landlord and Chris Wilkinson of Willard Retail representing the property owner. ChaHalo joins a strong lineup of tenants at Research Row, including Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, OneLife Fitness, Chick-fil-A, Robeks Juice, and Sola Salons.
The brand, which started in California with its first U.S. store, and is expanding to the east coast with a New York location (and now here in Maryland), is known for its creative tea-based drinks that fuse Eastern tradition with modern café culture.
