Silver Branch Brewing Company earned a Gold Medal at this year’s Great American Beer Festival for its Glass Castle Czech-Style Pale Lager.
According to Silver Branch, Glass Castle is a traditional Czech-style pale lager brewed year-round with Saaz hops for a crisp, balanced flavor and a clean finish. The beer has been part of the brewery’s core lineup since it opened in 2019 and is known for its smooth, creamy pour using an authentic Lukr faucet.
Silver Branch operates two Montgomery County locations, its original brewery at 8401 Colesville Rd. in Silver Spring and a second taproom at 7301 Calhoun Pl. in Rockville, which opened earlier this year in the former home of True Respite Brewing.
The brewery’s Warrenton Station location in Virginia remains temporarily closed following a fire that occurred in December.
The recognition from the Great American Beer Festival highlights Silver Branch’s presence in the region’s growing craft beer community.
