Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded Wednesday morning to a house fire on Starlight Court off Falls Mead Way in the Falls Mead neighborhood in Rockville.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS, crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions at a single-family home. Two residents and two dogs escaped safely after being alerted by a smoke alarm, though a cat remains unaccounted for. The fire has been brought under control, with approximately 65 firefighters on scene and no injuries reported.
Montgomery County Police issued the following traffic advisory at 8:40am: “Scott Drive is closed at Overlea Drive and Wooton Parkway due to a house fire. The call was received at 6:51 a.m. Drivers should expect significant delays and seek an alternate route”
