Tatte Bakery & Cafe is continuing its expansion in Montgomery County with its fourth location coming soon to Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood. The popular bakery and cafe will be taking over half of the space previously occupied by Buca di Beppo at 112 Kentlands Blvd.
Buca Di Beppo closed a little over a year ago before the company as a whole filed for bankruptcy a little more than a month later. An opening timeframe for the upcoming Kentlands Tatte location is not yet available, but the interior of the space has been cleared and prepared for upcoming construction.
Tatte first debuted in the county back in March 2021 with a location at 7276 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, followed by a second opening at 5400 Westbard Avenue in Bethesda in November 2024. The Rockville store at 12232 Rockville Pike opened earlier this year in January.
The bakery and café offer a variety of fresh salads, hearty sandwiches, savory shakshuka, and seasonal dishes, complemented by a curated selection of craft coffee, tea, and sodas. Tatte has grown from a small Boston farmers market stand to a popular brand with over 40 locations across the DC Metro and Greater Boston areas.MoCo Today first mentioned the move in an Instagram post.
