Downtown Silver Spring will host its annual Fall Makers Market on Saturday, November 8, from 10am to 4pm along Ellsworth Drive between Georgia Avenue and Fenton Street.
The seasonal event will feature more than 40 local artisans selling handmade goods, offering visitors a chance to start their holiday shopping while enjoying live music, food, and drinks in the heart of Silver Spring.
The Fall Makers Market is presented in partnership with Locally Crafted, a Gaithersburg store and organization that helps showcase small businesses and independent makers throughout the region. In addition to shopping, attendees can take part in an “Upcycled Jean Journal” activity, where they can bring an old pair of jeans, or use provided materials, to create their own customized journal. Live performances throughout the day will add to the festive atmosphere.
Downtown Silver Spring is also offering a special promotion tied to the event. Shoppers who spend $75 or more at participating retailers on the same day, including ACE Hardware, H&M, LOFT, Men’s Wearhouse, MyEyeDr, Nike Unite, Ulta Beauty, and Uniqlo, can bring their same-day receipts to the Downtown Silver Spring tent to receive a pair of Regal movie tickets, while supplies last.
