A new true-crime documentary titled “Hunted By My Husband: The Untold Story of the DC Sniper” will premiere on Tuesday, October 28 at 9/8c on Investigation Discovery (ID) and stream on Max.
The film features Mildred Muhammad, ex-wife of convicted DC sniper John Allen Muhammad, as she recounts how he used manipulation and gaslighting to control her before the 2002 killing spree that terrorized the Washington, D.C. region. Her story sheds light on the psychological abuse and warning signs that preceded the attacks, with the Muhammad’s ultimate goal reportedly being to kill his ex-wife and disguise it as part of the random shootings.
The documentary revisits the harrowing three-week shooting rampage that left ten people dead and three others injured across Maryland, Virginia, and D.C., with several of the earliest shootings occurring in Montgomery County.
“The story of the DC Sniper and Mildred Muhammad; her testimony reveals it was part of a calculated plan rooted in manipulation, control, and domestic abuse driven by a single, dark obsession.”
