Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) 5th District Commander Nick Picerno reports that officers from the 5th District Directed Community Action Team (DCAT) made a significant recovery during the overnight hours Friday in Germantown.
According to Picerno, DCAT officers were conducting enforcement efforts in the Crystal Rock area when they initiated a traffic stop. During the encounter, officers recovered a loaded privately made firearm, commonly referred to as a ghost gun, along with an extended magazine. Police also seized a large quantity of cannabis from the vehicle. A 20-year-old male was arrested and charged.
