The Rockville City Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred earlier today involving a pedestrian.
According to police, a black SUV traveling eastbound on Fleet Street at Monroe Street struck a pedestrian before briefly stopping and then fleeing the scene. The driver reportedly made a left onto Monroe Street followed by a right onto East Jefferson Street.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently receiving treatment, authorities said. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has video footage, including dashcam, home security, or mobile video, to come forward.
