Several new businesses have opened or are on the way to Wintergreen Plaza along Rockville Pike, according to leasing documents for the shopping center. This continues a wave of new energy for one of Rockville’s busiest shopping centers.
Hey Tea, which went viral this past summer for its long lines and colorful tea drinks, officially opened at Wintergreen Plaza and has quickly become a popular spot for bubble tea lovers across Montgomery County. The international tea chain is known for its fruit-forward drinks and modern café aesthetic that draws large crowds, especially on weekends.
Cold Stone Creamery is set to open soon in a long-vacant space near Paisano’s. The ice cream franchise, famous for its customizable creations mixed on a frozen granite slab, will bring another dessert option to the plaza.
A new Great Clips will also be opening soon in the space that was formerly home to Fantastic Sams, returning a familiar haircutting option to the shopping center. Tropical Smoothie Cafe, known for its smoothies, wraps, and flatbreads, is also coming soon, taking over the former Capital Cryo space.
One of the most significant upcoming additions will be ACE Hardware, which is opening in the large space that was once home to Gold’s Gym.
