The Quince Diamond Executive Center, a six-story office building located at 555 Quince Orchard Road in Gaithersburg, has sold for $7.56 million in an online auction, according to Maryland Newsletters.
The 108,989SF Class A office building, built in 1990, was auctioned on the Ten-X platform, with Transwestern managing the sale. Bidding began at the auctioneer’s reserve of $4.3 million and climbed steadily before closing at $7.56 million. The identity of the winning bidder has not yet been disclosed.
The property, currently about 37% leased (including the popular Woodlands restaurant), was marketed as offering “optionality”, allowing the buyer to either retain and lease up the existing building or redevelop the corner site with potential retail or residential use. The building’s features include 13-foot unfinished ceiling heights, typical floor sizes of 18,165 square feet, and a total of 400 parking spaces (132 surface and 268 covered).
Situated along one of Gaithersburg’s key commercial corridors, the Quince Diamond Executive Center sits at a prime intersection near I-270 and Quince Orchard Road, offering strong visibility and redevelopment potential as the area continues to attract mixed-use growth.
