One Dead After Shooting in Germantown

Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) 5th District officers responded at 11:08 p.m. on Saturday to a reported shooting near Germantown Road and Middlebrook Road.

According to MCPD, an adult male victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the case is being investigated as a homicide. The suspect(s) are in custody and the investigation remains active.

Below is a brief summary of events regarding a homicide that occurred at the Germantown Square Urban Park.

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, at approximately 11:08 p.m., Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District officers, Maryland National Capital Park Police and Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area of Germantown Road and Middlebrook Road for the report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The decedent has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
At this time, one suspect has been charged in connection with this homicide.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
A news release will be distributed once more information becomes available, including the identity of the decedent, following proper notification of next of kin.
