Bethesda’s Josh Pitsenberger Rushes for Career-High 173 Yards in Yale’s Win Over Brown

Bethesda native Josh Pitsenberger continues to shine for Yale football, powering the Bulldogs to a 34-22 victory over Brown on Saturday to secure their fourth consecutive win and improve to 6-2 on the season.

The former Avalon High School and North Bethesda Middle School standout posted a career-high 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns, marking his sixth 100-yard game of the year. The Ivy League’s official social media accounts highlighted his performance following the game, recognizing yet another dominant outing from the sophomore running back.

Through eight games, Pitsenberger has totaled 989 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, along with 11 receptions for 76 yards. He has topped the 100-yard mark in every contest but two this season, establishing himself as one of the premier running backs in the Ivy League.

With two games remaining, Pitsenberger sits just shy of the 1,000-yard milestone and is a key reason Yale remains in the hunt for another Ivy League title.
